Peter Grindrod

Founder and CEO

Pete is a mathematican interested in strategy for R&D and AI innovation; and in creating value from novel concepts from the mathematical foundations of AI methods, neuromorphic AI, and data science. Making tech do the things that human brains can do.

He is leading Astut, a venture addressing "High Stakes Unseen Decisons". Here "High Stakes" means one-off and usually irrevocable; while "Unseen" means that the situation is unprecedented and there is no case-date from any similar decisions taken in the past (along with their outcomes).

Founder and CEO. Astut Ltd is an Explorative AI (hybrid AI) company addressing High Stakes Unseen (never before experienced) Decision making. No data, no prior experience, strategic decision making that must be wide and wise - out of the box.

He is a former member of the Council of both the EPSRC and the BBSRC and of MOD's DSAC.

Pete has founded a number of successful start-up companies exploiting mathematical analytics as a differentiator, and creating value for those companies as well as their clients/partners.

Much of his work is open: some is confidential, in collaboration with various commercial interests.

Sharon offers an enthusiastic and innovative approach to the analytics domain. Combining an in-depth understanding of business process, infrastructure expertise and excellent technical skills has resulted in a proven track record in producing data driven actionable business insight.

Passionate about using mathematics to bring commercial value to business Sharon has worked in many sectors including retail, web analytics, insurance and telco.
