High Staked Unseen Decision (HSUD) Challenges
Astut address high stakes, never-before-experienced (“unseen”) decision challenges. These “HSUD” challenges are faced by a wide range of institutions and corporates from different sectors.
HSUD challenges represent novel decision scenarios such as reacting to unexpected problems or opportunities, facing novel situations or the developing new practices. Scenarios where there is no relevant previous data, yet reasoned, effective, decision options are urgently required. Strategic decisions are typically HSUDs, by definition.
Our hybrid AI generates decision options – a proposed decision together with its supporting logical reasoning that cannot be refuted by any of a given set of various classes of constraints

Stakeholder Engagement
Astut operates via chosen stakeholders and partners drawn from a number of sectors, embedding its technology within the services and solutions offered by sector-based partners:
- Large-scale B2C operators (both offline and online) – making disruptive changes or pivots; responses to competitor innovation.
- Financial market investment – corresponding to novel and unique opportunities and threats.
- Strategic consulting and corporate due diligence practices – responding to one-off business opportunities, challenges and disruptions, pivots, M&A, and so on.
- Defence and public sector – immediate responses to short-term challenges such as emerging unseen behaviour or threats; development of options to prepare long-term scenarios for paradigm changes.
- National engineering planning and engineering – delivering facilities that have never existed before and associated design and engineering of novel facilities. For example, within the UK’s fusion energy programme.
Astut is seeking stakeholders and will consider engagement and channel partners within these and other appropriate sectors, depending on the size and value of the challenge and stakeholder commitment as a means of expediting go-to-market and the generation of licence revenues.
